Two days into September and I'm not sure it could get any more exciting. If you're anywhere near Seattle, come visit me and the chickens.

I'm feeling relatively positive about the way things are going. Kind of scared for school, but first days always make me anxious. First class on Tuesday. Wish me luck.

small update

Jun. 7th, 2008 | 12:27 am
mood: okayokay

i'm in corvallis until june 23. then it's off to SE asia until august.
i miss the puget sound area and my friends. my family isn't too bad but it doesn't feel right. i have yet to hear back from the jobs i've applied to so, we'll see if i end up in seattle or tacoma. my vote is for seattle, but i'll take either.
i've gotta figure out what to do with my days or i'll go crazy. yesterday i baked two types of cookies and made two kinds of rice krispy treats. i haven't really seen anyone or talked to anyone. maybe i will do that.
i received my degree in the mail today. i also started running again.
now it's off to read some more.
this summer is dragging and it's barely begun.

So, I have given in and started a food blog. You can visit it here. There isn't much there right now. Anyway, it's food in Tacoma. or whatever I feel like.
I hope everyone is having a better New Year celebration than I am.

eeeh update!

mood: nerdynerdy

Smashing Pumpkins = teh awesome but now I am sick. (or just really congested)

There really isn't much to update, even though I haven't done in it ages. I've been having weird dreams about infidelity and such. They don't make much sense. There aren't any people I recognize/remember from the dreams. That's about the most exciting thing that has happened to me lately.

I should be more afraid of real life (life after University), but I'm not. I think right now I'm mostly concerned with graduating on time. Next step? Boston? Japan? SF/Bay Area? NYC? Seattle? Portland? I think I'm just going to apply for lots of things and make sure I have lots of options. I've already made sure Allen will move to Boston or the Bay Area with me and we can be bums together if all of our plans fall through. Or he can be a Microsoft lawyer and I will work to save the world to counter all of the bad things he does if he supports me. Heh, that would probably be ideal.

Ken: you should contact me about JET. I am applying, I don't care what my parents think.

Stephen: when are you coming back?

Perhaps I will start updating again? Probably not, but maybe.

if you have nothing to do tonight or you just want to procrastinate, you should come to my house, 1141 N. Lawrence, and carve pumpkins, drink some cider, and watch young frankenstein.

Your Candy Heart Says "Get Real"

You're a bit of a cynic when it comes to love.
You don't lose your head, and hardly anyone penetrates your heart.

Your ideal Valentine's Day date: is all about the person you're seeing (with no mentions of v-day!)

Your flirting style: honest and even slightly sarcastic

What turns you off: romantic expectations and "greeting card" holidays

Why you're hot: you don't just play hard to get - you are hard to get

i should be writing a two page paper about esoteric buddhism

You fit in with:
Humanism

Your ideals mostly resemble that of a Humanist. Although you do not have a lot of faith, you are devoted to making this world better, in the short time that you have to live. Humanists do not generally believe in an afterlife, and therefore, are committed to making the world a better place for themselves and future generations.
